Institutions & MUSEUMS

  • Climate conditions are maintained as a Class A facility as described in the American Institute for Conservation (AIC) recommendations to the Association of Art Museum Directors (AAMD) on Environmental Guidelines
  • Temperature and humidity will be maintained at 70°F and relative humidity at 50%, with intake air filtered for particulates
  • Dry pipe, dual action fire suppression, monitored by a UL security station
  • Fire and Police Stations within 1.1 miles, less than 5 minutes travel time
  • Security system designed and installed by a UL certified security firm
  • Standby battery and emergency electrical generator
  • Guardian is not in a FEMA flood plain; Guardian is in a Seismic Zone 0, that is, zero earthquake hazard
  • Access to three Viewing Rooms each 20’x20’, where each can be opened into the adjacent room creating a 1200 square foot gallery with a continuous uninterrupted 60’ exhibition wall
  • We have a written and implemented Emergency Plan, as well as a written and implemented Integrated Pest Management (IPM) plan
  • Guardian employees are trained art professionals, who participate in training programs to continually update skills and practices
  • Security, discretion, professionalism, and trust are paramount​

Galleries & ONLINE AUCTIONS

  • Guardian provides backroom storage for galleries – ideal for oversize work, exhibition planning, and more
  • Professional full-service crating, shipping, storage, installation and transportation
  • Access to Viewing Rooms that can be used as private sales spaces, examination rooms, conservation consultation space, or special event space
  • “Virtual galleries” can be created at Guardian, so that a gallerist does not need permanent staffed gallery space
  • All of the backroom functions of a gallery can be performed by Guardian, including fulfillment of shipping of sold work
  • Guardian secured space can be used for conservation consultations, where the art never leaves our facility
  •  Availability of professional services such as photography (online quality or publication quality), videography, conservation services, and appraisals
